A touching story of a husky rescued from a drain
Animal control officers in Lexington, Kentucky, were shocked when they received a report of a husky trapped in a drain.
Upon arrival, they discovered Sebastian, a large husky, who was stuck under the road, peeking through a crack in the concrete slabs.
“We’re not sure how he ended up there,” a representative from Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control told The Dodo. “We think he may have gotten in through the drain pipe and wasn’t able to find his way back out.”
Despite his situation, Sebastian remained cheerful. The officers quickly began removing the drain cover to reach him more easily.
In a funny post on Facebook, Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control shared: “Sebastiao had always wanted to meet the Ninja Turtles, but instead he met a couple of Animal Control officers.”
It wasn’t long before Sebastian was out of the drain and back on dry land, safe and sound. At the animal control facility, his family was relieved and excited to know that their beloved dog was safe. They planned to pick him up as soon as possible.
While at the rescue, Sebastian made new friends and seemed to enjoy his unexpected adventure. “He had a great time being rescued and enjoyed his stay,” the rep added. “He would do it again.”
