My thoughts on Joshua Zirkzee’s performance against Aston Villa:

I was disappointed with Joshua Zirkzee’s outing against Aston Villa. He came on in the 64th minute, replacing Rasmus Hojlund, but failed to make an impact. United needed someone to add composure to their attack and improve link-up play, but Zirkzee didn’t deliver.

In 26 minutes plus stoppage time, he only managed three successful passes and had just seven touches. He didn’t even take a shot. It was a lackluster display that didn’t provide the spark United needed.

Considering United’s struggles in the league, stuck in 14th place, it’s concerning that new signings like Zirkzee and Hojlund aren’t making a difference. I hope they can turn things around soon.
