This is far above the average 7 ½-pound birth weight for human babies, and significantly beyond even the normal weight zone of between 5 ½ pounds and 10 pounds, according to the University of Michigan. The child was also somewhat longer than most full-term babies, which on average range from 18 inches to 22 inches.

He was so large, the unit didn’t even carry clothing or diapers in his size, according to the mom, and nurses had to retrieve size 3 diapers for him from the pediatrics ward. When he finally саme home, he was dressed in clothing intended for a 6- to 9-month-old child.
