Brandin Cooks Partners With K9 Veterans Charity, Pays for Service Dog Training for 50 Former Soldiers .Nh

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks has quietly made one of the most heartfelt contributions of his career — off the field. In partnership with K9 Veterans United, Cooks has fully funded the training and placement of 50 service dogs for U.S. military veterans battling PTSD, anxiety, and mobility challenges.

The program, launched in Texas, focuses on connecting rescue dogs with veterans in need of emotional and physical support. Cooks is covering the cost of professional service dog training, medical care, and follow-up therapy sessions for each veteran-canine pair — a donation estimated to exceed $500,000.

💬 “These men and women have sacrificed everything for our freedom. The least we can do is give them someone who’ll stand by them, no matter what — just like they did for us,” said Cooks in a modest press release.

Photos from the first match day show veterans meeting their new companions for the first time — some tearing up, others smiling wider than they have in years. The dogs, many of whom were rescued from shelters or abusive environments, now have a second chance at life and purpose.

💬 “I haven’t felt this kind of connection since I left my unit,” one veteran said while holding the leash of his new Labrador mix.

With plans to expand the program in 2025, Cooks hopes to make this an annual tradition.
