Former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph Jr., once hailed as a rising star in the NFL, now finds himself at the center of a tragic and devastating incident. The 25-year-old was arrested in connection with a fatal motorcycle crash in Richardson, Texas, and has since bonded out of jail — but the questions and outrage continue to mount.
According to the Richardson Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:50 a.m. on June 7 in the 2400 block of U.S. 75. Officers responded to find 27-year-old Cody Morris, a beloved wife and mother of two, dead at the scene. No other vehicles or individuals were found nearby — until about an hour later, when Joseph reportedly called Plano Police to confess his involvement in the deadly accident.
When Richardson officers made contact with Joseph, they observed “clear signs of intoxication.” Authorities believe he had been driving a BMW northbound when the crash occurred. He was arrested and charged with DWI and collision involving injury or death.
