Extra time: Summer transfer window is about to close… but Man UTD still hasn’t finalized any contracts? Those 3 names are…

The summer transfer window is drawing to a close, and once again, Manchester United are keeping fans on edge with last-minute negotiations that look set to go down to the wire. With the attack in desperate need of reinforcement, the Old Trafford club is scrambling to secure one of three key striker targets — each bringing a different style, but all capable of making an immediate impact.

Here are the three forwards currently on Man Utd’s emergency radar as the transfer deadline looms:

Fabrizio Romano Offers Benjamin Šeško Transfer Update as PSG Rival Arsenal, Chelsea - Yahoo Sports

1. Benjamin Šeško (RB Leipzig)

  • Age: 21

  • Estimated price: €70 million

  • Strengths: 1.95m tall, quick on the break, dominant in the air, and widely seen as a future elite striker in Europe.

United have been monitoring Šeško for quite some time, with many dubbing him the “next Haaland.” While RB Leipzig’s valuation is steep, the Red Devils still view him as a strategic long-term investment. The problem? Negotiations have stalled as United try to bring the fee down, but Leipzig remain firm:

“No €70 million — no deal.”

Man Utd 'make fresh contact' for Ollie Watkins transfer as Aston Villa decide price | Football | Sport | Express.co.uk

2. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

  • Age: 28

  • Estimated price: £60–65 million

  • Strengths: Proven Premier League experience, consistent goal output, smart movement, and strong link-up play.

Watkins enjoyed a standout season with Aston Villa, playing a key role in helping the club qualify for the Champions League. With his pace, off-the-ball intelligence, and clinical finishing, he fits well into United’s attacking philosophy. However, Villa are reluctant to let go of their star striker — unless a truly irresistible offer comes in.

Nicolas Jackson: How the Chelsea striker is silencing the doubters with his goals and performances - BBC Sport

3. Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea)

  • Age: 23

  • Estimated price: £40–45 million

  • Strengths: Young, fast, excellent acceleration, aggressive pressing — but still lacks consistency in front of goal.

While Jackson has been inconsistent, he’s shown flashes of serious potential at Chelsea. Rumors suggest United may be quietly exploring this option — especially if moves for Šeško or Watkins fall through. That said, signing a player from a direct Premier League rival could prove difficult, both financially and politically.

Last Chance – United Must Act Before It’s Too Late!

With Anthony Martial,Marcus Rashford already gone,  and Rasmus Højlund still developing, United must secure a top-class striker this summer.

  • Šeško offers long-term upside.

  • Watkins is ready-made for immediate impact.

  • Jackson is a high-risk, high-reward alternative.

The clock is ticking.
Man Utd must act now — or face another season filled with regret.
