The €10 million was allocated across multiple initiatives: full scholarships for hundreds of underprivileged students, funding for building football fields and providing sports equipment to schools with limited facilities, as well as emergency support for homeless shelters in Paris as the harsh winter approached.
According to statistics from the Fondation Abbé Pierre, Mbappé’s contribution helped over 1,200 homeless people access temporary housing, while also providing hot meals, warm clothing, and medical care throughout the three peak months of winter.
During a private meeting with a group of scholarship recipients, Mbappé emotionally shared:
“I was born and raised in Bondy, where I clearly saw what deprivation looks like. There were people who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to change my life. Now, I want to do the same for the next generation. No one should be left behind just because they started with less.”
