Just in time for Sunday’s Detroit Lions home opener against the Chicago Bears, fans can cheer on the home team with a limited-edition flag while helping combat food insecurity.
This is the second year that Grand Rapids-based Meijer and the Detroit Lions teamed up to offer the limited-edition flags.

For the 2025 season, the design features the words “Raise the Roar” with a shadow of the words “One Pride” underneath. Sales of the limited-edition flag kick off on Wednesday at all Michigan Meijer stores.
The flags are $15 with any in-store Meijer purchase. As they did last year, Meijer, the exclusive grocery partner for the Lions, is donating all proceeds from the flag sales to the Detroit Lions Foundation. Proceeds will help tackle food insecurity and increase food access to communities.

“The flag provides a way for fans to continue to support the team, while also making an impact on communities throughout Michigan,” Roxanne Caine, vice president of the Detroit Lions Foundation and Community Relations, said in a news release. “As this initiative grows year over year, we look forward to increasing the impact we are able to make when it comes to tackling food insecurity.”

“By inviting our customers to participate, as both fans and community members, we can help ensure every family has access to healthy, nutritious food,” said Melissa Conway, Director of Community Partnerships and Giving at Meijer, in a news release.
