Jared Goff’s wife, Christen Goff, made a surprise revelation about their wedding day amid the Lions’ win over the Ravens. She spilled a secret about Jared Goff’s bad habit…PI

Since getting traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Detroit Lions, quarterback Jared Goff has had huge success on and off the field.

In January 2024, Goff led the Lions to their first home NFL playoff game in 30 years. He followed that up by getting married in June 2024 to his longtime partner, Christen Goff.

In July 2025, Jared and Christen added to the joy by welcoming their first child, Romy. It was the culmination of a six-year relationship that began on a dating app in Los Angeles in 2019.

In many ways, the Goffs have a fairytale love story. However, an unexpected moment at the altar revealed a nontraditional twist to their relationship.

“I couldn’t have imagined the day without him,” Goff’s wife recalled of their wedding day on the Netflix series “Quarterback.”

The actress and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model was not referring to her husband. The apple of her eye was Goff’s dog, Quincy.

“I saw him before I saw Jared,” Christen admitted. “I walked down the aisle to him almost.”

That was not the first time the pup had been entangled in their family dynamics. The NFL star referred to his future wife as “Quincy’s stepmom” until they got engaged, at which point she became “Quincy’s real mom.”

“Quincy decided to call her ‘Mom,’ so I said, ‘OK,’” joked the Lions quarterback.

Happily married, the two are now dog parents and real parents. The bond in their family unit of four is built on the level of trust Christen earned by embracing Jared’s best friend — even on their wedding day.

Goff and the Detroit Lions (1-1) will face off with the Baltimore Ravens (1-1) in Week 3 of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” at 8:15 p.m. ET.
