“I’ve always said that I was just trying to keep my balance and push forward, not intentionally leading with my helmet,” Barkley told reporters. “I’m glad the truth was recognized. Now I’ll put all my focus on helping the team win more games.”
The reduction eased frustrations among Eagles fans, who had labeled the original punishment as excessive and unfair. Many pointed out that officials on the field did not even call a penalty at the time of the incident.
On the field, Barkley continues to be a difference-maker. Against the Chiefs, he racked up 88 rushing yards and a touchdown, proving once again that he remains central to Philadelphia’s offensive identity alongside Jalen Hurts.
The successful appeal, combined with the comeback win in Los Angeles, has lifted the atmosphere in Philadelphia. A 3-0 record and renewed momentum now have fans believing this team is equipped for another deep playoff push.
