I thought the conversation would feel heavy, scary, and tearful, but instead it was comforting, peaceful, and enlightening.
Brielle and I talk of heaven often, but this time in particular, it felt different. She came to me with a heavy heart, wondering why she had to get cancer, and how she hears that people who have cancer pass away. Obviously holding back tears, we spoke of the unknown, the beauty, the people, the peace, the love, the healing, the relief.
The conversation calmed her fears, it was the unknown that seemed scary, but talking about it made the weight lighter. She then turned to me and said,
“When I go back to Heaven, I’m going to run straight to Jesus.” 🥹
How often is that our mindset, that when you feel like you have done all you can, that you “run straight to Jesus”?
I feel so inadequate to carry the weight I feel, but today, I am running straight to Jesus, because I know, that it’s within His arms, that I find relief.
