“PLEASE HELP ME KEEP FIGHTING”: YOUNG LEUKEMIA SURVIVOR POLINA STUPAR MAKES AN EMOTIONAL PLEA AS TREATMENT COSTS BECOME UNBEARABLE

Two years ago, generosity from strangers around the world helped save the life of Polina Stupar, a young leukemia patient whose story touched thousands. Today, Polina is once again fighting for her survival — and desperately needs help.

Polina’s battle began with a devastating diagnosis of leukemia, followed by grueling rounds of chemotherapy and a critical bone marrow transplant that offered her a second chance at life. But the transplant came with complications. She developed GvHD (Graft-versus-Host Disease), a dangerous condition in which the donor cells attack the patient’s body. Since then, Polina has required continuous, specialized medical care to keep her immune system stable and prevent relapse.

For two years, her family has done everything possible to support the extensive treatment regimen. But the costs — medications, hospital visits, immune therapies, and travel for specialist appointments — have spiraled beyond what they can manage. The financial strain has become overwhelming.

Polina’s doctors have warned that missing even a single treatment session could put her at serious risk of relapse. Despite staying strong through every setback, Polina now faces a terrifying possibility: that her fight for life could be cut short not by illness, but by the inability to afford the care she urgently needs.

In an emotional message, Polina expressed her gratitude to the many people who helped her survive before, saying their kindness “gave me a chance to live and fight.” But with tears and honesty, she admits she must ask for help once more — not out of choice, but out of necessity.

Friends, community members, and supporters are now rallying to ensure Polina can continue her treatment without interruption. Every donation and prayer brings hope to a young woman determined to survive.
