A Life That Began With Loss: Franciszek’s Courageous Fight for a Future .l

My name is Franciszek, and my story began with both life and loss. I entered the world as a twin, but my brother did not get the chance to stay. He passed away shortly after birth, leaving behind a silence that has followed me ever since. While my family mourned him, I was fighting my own battle to survive.

From my first days of life, nothing was easy. I suffered brain hemorrhages, developed hydrocephalus, and battled a life-threatening sepsis infection. My tiny body endured more pain and medical intervention than most will face in a lifetime. Surgeries became a part of my early existence, hospital rooms my first home, and uncertainty a constant companion.

Doctors fought alongside me, performing multiple procedures to save my life. Day by day, breath by breath, I held on. Against the odds, I survived. Eventually, I was strong enough to leave the hospital and go home — a moment filled with relief, gratitude, and heartbreak. I went home without my twin brother, carrying both survival and sorrow into the next chapter of my life.

Today, my fight is not over. The challenges I faced at birth continue to affect my development. I need ongoing therapy, rehabilitation, and specialized care to help me grow stronger, improve my mobility, and move toward a more independent life. Each therapy session is a step forward, but it also comes with emotional and financial strain for my family.

Despite everything, I am here. I am fighting. I am growing.

I am asking for help — not out of weakness, but out of hope. Support can give me access to the care I need to build a future shaped not by my diagnosis, but by my determination. Please stand with me as I continue my journey.

I carry my brother in my heart. And for both of us, I keep fighting — for life, for strength, and for a chance at a brighter tomorrow.
