Man in his 30s rushed to hospital after ‘acid attack’ in train station

A MAN has been rushed to hospital following a suspected late night acid attack at a busy train station.
Cops were scrambled to Crawley Station, West Sussex, yesterday evening after receiving reports of the terrifying assault.

A man in his 30s was found at the scene and rushed to hospital for treatment.
Forensic investigators remained at the station until the early hours as a police probe got underway.
Officers from the British Transport Police responded to reports that an “unknown substance” had been thrown over a man.
A manhunt is now underway to locate the person who threw the substance, cops said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the reported attack is urged to contact the police.
The force said: “Officers were called to Crawley railway station just after 11.20pm last night to reports of a substance being thrown at a man in his thirties.
“The man was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.
“Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses who might have seen this incident or may have information.”
