According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the San Francisco 49ers are set to work out United Football League (UFL) MVP Jack Plummer on Friday, a day before veterans report to training camp.

Plummer also has a workout scheduled with the Miami Dolphins.

The Carolina Panthers signed Plummer (6-5, 215) out of Louisville as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent most of his rookie season on Carolina’s practice squad before earning a promotion to the active roster late in the year.

The Panthers waived Plummer in August 2025, and he has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game.

In January 2026, Plummer was allocated to the Orlando Storm of the UFL. He quickly made an impact, leading the league with 2,188 passing yards during the 2026 UFL season and earning UFL Most Valuable Player honors. He threw 17 touchdowns compared to just one interception.
