A newborn mutant goat with 8 legs was just born on a small farm in Croatia causing a stir in the online community recently. This unique goat has the body and size of a normal goat, however, it has up to 8 legs like an octopus. For this reason, this goat is also called “octopus goat.”
This mutant goat was reportedly born from a male goat and a regular female goat. The owner of the farm said that the goat octopus is the result of a genetic mutation. This is the first case this ranch owner has encountered after more than 20 years of raising goats.
Although octopus goats make a strong impression on viewers, this is a mutant phenomenon and should not be taken as normal. Only about 1 in 10,000 new cases gives birth to a mutant animal. However, these animals often cannot survive in the wild, so they are usually kept only in artificial environments.
