Two-year-old Freddie Mercury broke two legs and lost them permanently. Was adopted by Angela Adan after being abandoned in a fur coat and now has 30,000 Instagram followers.
At birth, she had no epiglottis, a leaf-like structure that closes the opening of the larynx and prevents food from entering the airways and lungs.
Freddie also has an anomaly in the covering of the incisors or an overbite as his name suggests; but despite all these faults, she lives happily thanks to Angela Adan, her owner.
Angela adopted Freddie who she found abandoned in a bag under a car in December 2018.
Her unusual appearance ensured Freddie a reputation on social media after Angela posted pictures of her; now Freddie has over 300,000 fans.
Speaking of her dog’s health issues, Angela said: “Freddie was born without an epiglottis which makes it difficult to operate on her as she can aspirate and get pneumonia more easily.

Freddie also has an overbite to which she owes her nickname; but despite all her health problems, she lives happily with her loving new owner.
“Also, she can choke on drinking water, for example. A child knocked her down when she was a puppy and she broke both her legs. His owner at the time never provided any treatment for his legs, which recovered abnormally.
She needs to be stretched daily to keep her shoulder muscles from hardening more than they are.”
According to Angela, Freddie doesn’t let this pain get in the way of her joy and she’s a very smiley pup.

She says, “At first I had planned to adopt him temporarily, but our bond grew stronger and his condition improved; I understood then that I could not abandon him.
Freddie loves food, soft blankets, hugs and jumping on beds. She is a happy dog who loves life”.
One of his followers commented on one of Freddie’s photos saying, “we love you Freddie, it’s ok to be different.”
Another writes: “she is just adorable!”.
