Seeing that there was danger near the young, the mother eagle immediately rushed out and attacked the two pelicans, killing the two animals.

While waiting for the male eagle to bring food back to the nest to feed the three young birds, the female eagle discovered two pelicans nearby. Fearing that the pelican would endanger her children, the angry female eagle immediately flew out and attacked the pelican.

The two pelicans quickly fled.

However, the eagle was able to catch up and use its claws to grab the pelican’s tail.

According to photographer Alex Phan – who recorded the entire war in San Diego, California, USA, two pelicans later died because they were attacked by eagles.
