A black leopard gecko is the colored form of the leopard gecko (Eblepharis macᴜlariᴜs), a species of lizard that is native to the arid regions of Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and parts of India. The morph of the black poche is characterized by a dark, almost black coloration, spots, stripes or white or yellow stripes on the body and tail.

Leopard geckos are a popular choice for reptile lovers, as they are relatively easy to care for and have a docile temperament. Also cooked by their unique ability to grow their tails when they are threatened or damaged, the stems can eventually grow back.

Leopard geckos are black, like all leopard geckos, sore and feed on insects such as crickets, sham geckos, and wax geckos. Requires a warm, dry environment with a sunbathing area that reaches around 90°F and a cool side that stays around 75°F. Appropriate diet, temperature and housing are critical to the health and well-being of any leopard gecko, including the black gecko morph.
