Cardi B has never shied away from speaking her mind, whether it’s about music, fashion, or family. The Grammy-winning rapper is set to appear on the season four premiere of The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she candidly discusses her life as a mother of three and why she’s considering expanding her family even further.

In a preview of the upcoming episode, the 32-year-old artist behind Am I the Drama? shares with Jennifer Hudson a surprisingly lighthearted but meaningful reason for wanting more children. According to Cardi, having more kids increases her chances of receiving love and care later in life. With her trademark humor, she quipped, “The more kids you have, the smaller the chance you’ll end up in a home. At least one of them is going to wipe my butt.” Her honesty sparked both laughter and reflection, showing once again how she blends humor with raw truth.
Cardi, who co-parents with her ex Offset, is raising three children: Wave Set, 4, Kulture Kiari, 7, and her youngest, Blossom Belle, who recently turned one. Despite her busy career, she remains deeply invested in her children’s growth, noting that each of them reflects a different aspect of her personality.

She describes Wave, her son, as playful and mischievous, often pulling silly faces reminiscent of her own. “He’s got my funny side, but also a little bit of my wild streak,” she admitted. Her eldest daughter, Kulture, has inherited Cardi’s sass and sense of style, qualities that the rapper clearly recognizes in herself. “She’s girly, she’s got attitude, but at the same time, she’s a sweet and well-behaved girl.”
When it comes to Blossom, Cardi acknowledged that she’s still in the process of discovering who her youngest daughter is becoming. “I’m still learning the baby,” she told Hudson. “We’re still trying to figure her out, see what her personality is going to be.” Her words reflected the universal experience of parents who watch their youngest children grow day by day, waiting to see which traits emerge.

Although her children are being raised in circumstances very different from her own, Cardi emphasized that she wants them to remain grounded. She takes pride in the fact that her kids love spending time with extended family, visiting cousins and grandparents, and experiencing environments beyond the spotlight. “They’re very well-rounded,” she explained. “They enjoy going to my dad’s house, to their cousins’ homes—they’re not just caught up in fame or privilege. That balance is important, and I love that about them.”
Cardi’s reflections highlight the complex balance she strikes between global superstardom and motherhood. Her comments reveal a woman who wants to protect her children’s innocence, while also embracing the joys and challenges of raising a family in the public eye. And though she jokes about wanting more children so that someone will care for her in old age, her words reveal something deeper: Cardi B sees family as her anchor, her legacy, and the part of her life that truly defines who she is.
