LeBron James, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players in the world, has inspired his children to follow in his footsteps. His eldest son among the three, Bronny James, has already made history by joining him on the Los Angeles Lakers, making them the first father-son duo to play for the same team in the NBA.
Recently, James’ middle son, Bryce James, celebrated a major career milestone, earning praise from his mother, Savannah James. A three-star shooting guard, Bryce is carving his own path in basketball while carrying forward the James family’s impressive legacy.
And the legacy lives on
On Wednesday, Bryce shared an update on his Instagram handle that he is joining the University of Arizona and will be starting a new journey to make a name for himself in the NBA, much like his legendary father and elder brother. The 17-year-old prodigy who played high school basketball at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles garnered praise from his father and mother, who couldn’t contain their excitement and shared their admiration for him on their respective social media handles. Savannah James shared a post on her Instagram handle and expressed how proud she was of him.
“So proud of you @_justbryce!! Your silent hustle has definitely not gone unnoticed!! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to cheer you on through this journey! Down!” Savannah wrote.
In addition to the University of Arizona, James also received offers from Ohio State and Duquesne, and the University of Southern California also showed interest in him. In terms of his statistics, junior James is a 3-star recruit who ranked No. 257 overall and No. 46 among shooting guards in the class of 2025.
With a family legacy of basketball dominance, from his father, who boasts four NBA titles, four Olympic medals (three golds and one silver) with the U.S. national team, and four NBA MVP awards, among numerous accolades, to his brother Bronny, a 4-star recruit and the No. 28 overall prospect in the nation before being drafted by the Lakers, fans are eager to see how Bryce’s career unfolds and what the future holds for him.
