These images were uploaded to social networks by Samiraa Aissa, who shared the strange snapshots with her Facebook friends.
They were taken from a video that shows two people pulling the animal as they try to determine what it is.
The video has already had 37,000 views since it was uploaded to the Internet.
She wrote: “A strange creature has been discovered in India. The animal, whose shape resembles that of a human being, terrified an entire town.”
