Unrelenting and originating from a nearby location, a faint sound resembling a meow was heard by the Santa Cruz Police Department’s officer in California. This incident occurred when the officer was situated in the station’s parking lot, as stated on the agency’s Facebook page. The officer was alerted by a cry for assistance coming from beneath the hood of one of the police cruisers. Upon investigation, Officer Gomez discovered a kitten taking shelter under the car’s engine block.
The law enforcement officials reported that Officer Gomez had to crawl beneath the vehicle and handle the tiny feline with caution, following a playful game of hide-and-seek between the two of them that took place under the car’s hood.
The department shared that Officer Gomez immediately fell in love with a stray cat he came across and decided to adopt it.
