It was clear that it had been abandoned and left to fend for itself on the merciless streets.
The sight of the puppy, so small and vulnerable, deeply moved Natasha. She knew she had to act immediately. They took the puppy to the vet, where it received urgent care and necessary medications. Fortunately, despite its serious condition, it was not diagnosed with parvo or distemper, two lethal diseases that often affect abandoned puppies. However, it still urgently needed saline therapy to rehydrate and regain its strength.
The little puppy, named Sunny, received round-the-clock attention and care. The veterinary team went above and beyond to provide the best treatment. After 24 hours, a glimmer of hope appeared: Sunny showed a surprising appetite and began eating on its own. This significant improvement brought relief to everyone at Howlofpet.
Sunny’s recovery was gradual but steady. He began to gain weight, and his tiny legs, which had previously been too weak to support him, started to strengthen. Little by little, he managed to walk again, wagging his tail shyly as he explored his new surroundings.
Natasha, who had felt a special connection with Sunny, spent countless hours comforting him and soothing him with gentle words. She became his surrogate mother, providing the love and care he so desperately needed.
