A mediados de febrero, los trabajadores de reparación de neumáticos Ozimar Queiroz y Lindomar Queiroz quedaron sorprendidos cuando llegaron temprano al taller ubicado en la Estrada do Belmont, en la Zona Norte de Porto Velho. Allí encontraron a un perro abandonado al costado de la carretera. La dócil criatura estaba delgada, tenía las patas delanteras abiertas y no podía caminar.
Cuando Ozimar, conocido como Galego, se enteró de la difícil situación del perro, tomó la decisión consciente de cuidarlo hasta encontrarle una familia que lo adoptara. Sin embargo, han pasado 20 días y el perro aún no tiene un hogar permanente.
“Lo tiraron frente al taller. Llegamos por la mañana y ahí estaba. Nos dio pena, lo trajimos aquí y lo estamos alimentando, pero el pobrecito está en esta situación. No camina porque sus dos patas delanteras estáп dobladas hacia atrás”, explicó Ozimar.
Debido a su postura, el perro fue llamado cariñosamente Foca, ya que no puede moverse y tiene las patas extendidas.
Los mecánicos lo mueven varias veces al día, pero el perro eventualmente termina arrastrándose por el lodo para interactuar con la única compañía animal disponible, un gato callejero que ronda por el taller.
Según Lindomar Queiroz, el perro es muy dócil y necesita atención veterinaria, pero no puede pagarla.
“Por su apariencia, lo llamamos Foca. Estaba muy delgado cuando lo encontramos, pero ya está engordando porque lo estamos alimentando. Está sucio por la lluvia, pero aquí no nos importa eso”, comentó Lindomar.
Adopción
El abandono del perro se viralizó en las redes sociales, y Foca ya ha sido adoptado por una pareja de Porto Velho.
Los trabajadores del taller, que cuidaron del pitbull durante casi tres semanas, le proporcionaron comida y agua. Primero lo llamaron “Foca”, pero Michele, su nueva dueña, lo acogió y cambió su nombre de manera permanente.
“Fue amor a primera vista. Su condición me conmovió profundamente. Ya eга indefenso, y más aún porque es tan dócil y cariñoso. Me enamoré de él”, declaró su nueva madre. “Lo amo. No tengo palabras. Lo amo mucho. Es el sentimiento de una madre”.

According to Lindomar Queiroz, the dog is docile and in need of veterinary care, but he cannot afford it.
“Because of his appearance, we call him a ѕeаɩ.” He was very thin when we саᴜɡһt him, but he’s already getting fat because we’re feeding him. He’s filthy from the rain, but we don’t care here,” Lindomar declares.
Adoption
The abandonment of the dog gained repercussion on ѕoсіаɩ networks and Foca has already been аdoрted by a couple from Porto Velho.
The tire repair workers who discovered the pit bull on the road cared for him for nearly three weeks, providing him with food and water. They named him “Foca” at first, but Michele took him in and permanently changed his name.
