A very creative cat mom, Kayla, has gone viral on TikTok, discussing her very weird cats, each with their own endearing quirks. She named the account after Gizmo, a fluffy orange cat who can often be bizarre. Did she feed the cats after midnight? Probably, judging by their antics. But that’s what makes cats so much fun!
“Gizmo doesn’t do weird stuff, he is weird stuff,” she says.
In a recent post, she introduces everyone to her cats, explaining how strange they can be.
“How did I end up with such weird cats? Oh well, I love them.”
Wonderfully, all these weird cats were rescues, but all are missing something, she jokes.
Gizmo or Momo:
Adopted from Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue in Lawrenceville, GA.
He’s now 2 years old.
He’s missing a brain but makes due with a “black licorice jelly bean.”
Bruce or Brucifer:
Nickname Twinkle Toes for his white toes
Adopted from the San Diego Humane Society six years ago
Jumps sky high
Extremely cuddly
He is missing his tail (Manx).
Arya:
Kayla found Arya under a truck by a dumpster in 2012.
She’s the relatively normal one of the bunch.
She was strangely missing a toe when rescued.
She is often found in a “loaf” position with her tail and legs under her.
Luna:
Adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society four years ago as a kitten.
She has long fluffy black hair.
Has a long-standing turf war with the white buttons on a chair.
She is missing a soul, Kayla jokes.
Below, here is another funny introduction to the cats, including two foster kittens who have since found homes.
In another TikTok, Kayla shows Gizmo being a weird cat, which she attributes to being orange. We can certainly relate, but that’s why orange cats are the best!
“He’s having some connection issues.”
As it turns out, Kayla’s creative and funny ways of talking about cats translated to helping numerous rescue cats where Gizmo came from.
Recently, she did a mock ad for Pippi’s Place called Catvana inspired by her husband’s search for a vehicle. The ad for adoptable cats took on a car theme and described the cats with names like “Meowzda,” “Pursche,” and “Mini Pooper,” complete with their year, make, model and Cat Facts.
