According to the circulating footage, the idol is currently in Paris for a busy schedule as she prepares to attend Chanel’s show during Paris Fashion Week. While taking some time to walk around the city, Jennie unexpectedly became the target of paparazzi and so-called “resellers” — individuals who collect celebrities’ autographs in order to resell them for profit.
Constantly followed despite security presence
In the clip, Jennie can be seen being closely followed by several people who repeatedly pushed items toward her asking for autographs. Even though her security team attempted multiple times to block them and create space, these individuals continued to approach her.
What particularly angered many fans was that some people reportedly returned immediately after receiving a signature to ask for another one. This behavior left Jennie with virtually no personal space while walking on the crowded street.
Jennie remains polite but clearly under pressure
Despite the ongoing disturbance, Jennie still tried to remain polite and finished signing the last autograph. However, her facial expression clearly showed signs of exhaustion and stress.
At one point in the video, she directly addressed the crowd:
“Can I get some rest please? Today I’m really stressed.”
The short statement was enough for many viewers to realize the level of pressure Jennie was experiencing amid her packed schedule.
Fans criticize those exploiting idols for profit
After the video spread online, many fans expressed anger toward people who take advantage of celebrities’ kindness for commercial gain. They argued that asking for autographs to resell is completely different from the genuine support of true fans.
The incident occurred right before Chanel’s major runway show — one of the most important events of the year for Jennie as a global ambassador of the luxury brand.
Many fans believe that during such a demanding period at Paris Fashion Week, Jennie deserves at least a basic level of privacy and respect from the public.
