The 2023/24 season was a breakthrough for Mainoo, in particular: the midfielder became a staple in the Man United lineup and even made it to the England starting XI at Euro 2024.
Unfortunately, the same competition also saw Lamine Yamal light up the stage as he just turned 17 a day before the final.
Even Man United fans admit that the Barcelona winger is the most probable winner — but Mainoo should come right after him.
