The entire American basketball community was left stunned as shocking news broke: Jaylen Brown — the cornerstone star of the Boston Celtics — was aboard a private plane that suffered a serious crash during its journey from Miami back to Boston.
According to an emergency report from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane took off early in the morning carrying Brown along with a group of friends and family members. Everything appeared normal until about 20 minutes after takeoff, when air traffic control detected abnormal signals: a sudden drop in altitude and repeated interruptions in communication.
Just minutes later, radar systems showed the plane had lost control. Witnesses on the ground in the forested areas of Georgia reported seeing “a large flash of light accompanied by a roaring engine sound, then disappearing behind the trees.”
Rescue teams were immediately deployed by both land and air. Upon reaching the crash site, the scene was chilling: most of the aircraft’s fuselage was destroyed, with debris scattered across hundreds of meters. However, a miracle occurred — Jaylen Brown was found alive, though injured and exhausted.

Rescue personnel reported that Brown was conscious but visibly shaken when pulled from the wreckage. He was immediately airlifted by medical helicopter to a major nearby hospital for emergency care. Several other passengers also survived, though some remain in critical condition.
The Boston Celtics promptly released a statement:
“Jaylen Brown has survived the plane crash and is currently undergoing intensive treatment. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the rescue teams for their quick response, and we pray for the recovery of all victims.”
The news spread like wildfire on social media. The hashtag #PrayForJaylen flooded Twitter and Instagram, accompanied by tens of thousands of messages of support from fans. Not only the Celtics community, but the entire NBA expressed concern and is anxiously awaiting positive updates from the hospital.
With the Celtics holding high hopes for the upcoming season, this incident is a massive psychological shock. But as one longtime fan put it: “Championships can wait, but life cannot. We just hope Jaylen returns safe.”
