Every day, many dogs roam the streets in search of food and shelter. Johnny is one of those dogs who seems to have no owner and spends his days waiting for compassionate people to pet him and offer him something to eat.
Although the staff at a bakery called La Espiga fed him and gave him some of their products, they unfortunately closed their shop, and now this furry friend waits outside the shop, waiting for his friends to come over and give him a piece of bread, like they used to do before.
It’s heartbreaking to think that hundreds of dogs live on the streets, exposed to diseases and dangers, but there are always those who are willing to help them. Now they hope that people will be tempted to adopt or feed Johnny whenever they see him.
The puppy waits for food outside the bakery, unaware that it is closed forever.
According to Amandi Rodríguez Maya, a Facebook user, she posted in a group called Lost in Tampico Madero and Altamira that a dog that she believes has no owner was very sad outside a bakery that had closed its doors forever and that no one received him as usual or gave him bread or food as before.
The innocent canine used to wait or lay down all day outside the branch, hoping to be fed, but this will no longer happen because the “La Espiga” branch in downtown Tampico closed in mid-December 2022.
“His name is Johnny… He was seen sleeping outside the Care with the Dog store in the market, but he mostly waited outside the bakery ‘La Espiga’ because he knew they always offered him a taco, even if it was raining, cold or hot, the staff always came and gave him his food, and now that they closed, he is still waiting outside for his food.” According to the post, the canine seems to be sad.
The main objective of the post is to encourage people who see it to give him some food, since many people were moved by the story and felt bad for the situation that the beautiful Johnny is in. “If you see him around, invite him to eat, he loves the little packets with croquettes and from time to time chicken is one of his favorites, but don’t give him a bone, it hurts him,” says the post.
