Rising Above the oddѕ: Motonya Major’s Inspiring Journey to Graduation at 23 with Two Children

At just 23 years old, Motonya Major is on the cusp of achieving a truly remarkable milestone. On August 16th, she will proudly graduate from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. What sets this accomplishment apart is the incredible journey she undertook to earn her degree, all while navigating the responsibilities of being a mother to her twins, who were by her side throughout her educational pursuit.

Motonya Major shared her immense joy and sense of achievement on Facebook, reflecting on the obstacles she had to surmount. In 2017, the same year she embarked on her studies at Nova Southeastern University, she discovered that she was five months pregnant. It was a moment that almost led her to give up on her dreams, as she candidly admitted on her Facebook page, saying, “I sincerely almost gave up! The Devil really had me.” She went on to reveal that the journey had been an arduous one, stating that, “Nothing would have prepared me for this journey that I’ve been through… the program began with 26 people and now just 17 of us will be graduating.”

Motonya Major also opened up about the stress she endured when she found out she was pregnant. Her program director suggested that she should postpone her studies in 2017 and return in 2018 to complete her degree. She knew it would be nearly impossible to finish her studies with two infants by her side, but she persevered, stating, “I went to class every day, literally until the day I gave birth to my two girls, and honestly, I was determined to finish.”

In May 2018, Motonya Major gave birth to two adorable twins via c-section. Her unwavering determination and resilience deserve recognition and applause. Her inspirational journey is a testament to the power of determination and serves as a source of motivation for anyone facing adversity and striving to achieve their dreams.
