Among those who have encountered Poppy is Susanne Vogel, a woman working at an elephant research center in the Republic of Botswana. She was deeply moved when she witnessed the dog’s struggle, maneuvering through a risky area inhabited by lions, hyenas, and other predators.
Susanne took Poppy to a veterinarian for a thorough examination. The dog required spinal surgery, which would strengthen its body gradually. While waiting for the operation, Poppy’s physical condition improved day by day. Once the surgery is completed, it will be equipped with a wheelchair to move freely without dragging its legs and avoid further injuries.
