In late 2018, Betty H. and her husband noticed a kitten with the most beautiful eyes frequenting their home. However, gaining the feline’s trust was not an easy feat. The timid and often dirty cat appeared to be starving, and the couple knew they had to help her out. To do so, they had to devise a plan to approach the little one slowly and show her that there was nothing to fear. After all, gaining the kitten’s trust was the first step towards giving her a better life.
According to Betty, they began providing food and water to the needy creature, and as a result, it accepted their assistance.
Afterwards, Betty ensured that Fluffy was fed three times daily, but it wasn’t easy to gain her trust. Despite this, they continued to persevere. As time passed, no one came forward to claim the kitten, which they had affectionately named Fluffy, so the couple decided to officially rescue her.
According to Betsy, Fluffy was initially very quiet. However, as Betsy spent more time with her, she began to talk to her and make her feel comfortable. To help Fluffy adjust to her new environment, Betsy would gently touch her. It was clear that Fluffy had never had an owner before.
Despite some initial hesitation, Betty gradually gained Fluffy’s trust and was able to touch her. However, Fluffy was still hesitant and shivered after a few strokes. With patience and a gentle approach, Fluffy became more comfortable and realized that they were there to assist her.
The way he acted changed for the better. He went from being afraid of people touching him to wanting lots of attention and snuggles. Betsy mentioned that she noticed how much he enjoyed being petted before eating, which was surprising given his previous behavior.
By mid-February of last year, Fluffy had mustered up the bravery to follow the couple home and they were thrilled to have achieved their goal of adding the adorable kitten to their family.

According to Betty, Fluffy resembles a pooch due to her tendency to eagerly wait for any food scrap that may drop on the floor. However, Fluffy seems to have fully adapted to her new lifestyle and enjoys spending time with her BFF Lacie, cuddling and relaxing. Additionally, Fluffy finds watching birds from the window entertaining and has fully embraced her pampered life as an indoor kitty.
