After more than a decade of waiting, the 14-year-old dog is finally experiencing love for the first time, and his reaction is melting everyone’s hearts.
Pitufo was around 5 years old when he first joined the Hogar Corazón team and was seen as less desirable than a puppy. In addition to being an adult, the shelter also had few opportunities to spread the word about him.
“I’m really ѕtгісt about the families I adopt my dogs to,” Silvina said. “I consider them like my own children, and I wouldn’t trust just anyone with my kids. I always look for the best for them.”
After 10 years of trying to promote Pitufo and evaluating the few families interested in him, Silvina’s wish for the pup finally саme true.
A couple of weeks have passed since Pitufo met his new family, but they feel like he has been with them for a lifetime. Now he spends his days going for walks, cuddling, and following his daily routine as if he had been doing it for all 14 years of his life.
Silvina misses seeing her beloved Pitufo at the shelter, but she is delighted that the little one has finally found his happy ending.
“It was the best deсіѕіoп,” Silvina said, “because now Pitufo is incredibly happy.”
