We and our colleagues at Newsner English have often reported on animal lover Michael Baines and his incredible commitment to street dogs in Thailand.
Every day, this animal hero feeds 80 street dogs in his area and strategically distributes food in other locations to ensure that no Thai street dog goes hungry.

He has already rescued many dogs from life on the streets and works hard to give them a real home.
One such dog is Milo.
Milo was first discovered by some students from Bangsaen University. They contacted Michael and told him about a street dog that seemed to be suffering from some kind of skin disease.

When Michael arrived at the scene, he found a weak seven-month-old puppy in desperate need of help. Milo yelped in fear as Michael tried to pick him up.
” It took about five minutes to get Milo under control with the help of my staff. We drove to the clinic where we found that he was suffering from severe demodectic mange ,” Michael told Newsner.

Milo was small and frail, and he had hardly any hair on his body. But time passed and with a little help from medicine and love, his condition slowly improved.
“ He regained his confidence and soon Milo was a whole new puppy ,” says Michael.
50 days later, Milo is already feeling much better.

This transformation is simply incredible, don’t you think? Michael soon found a new home for Milo in Phoenix, Arizona. His new family thought he would get along well with their three other dogs.
70 days after Milo’s rescue, it was time to say goodbye. Shortly before Christmas, Milo began his journey to the United States to join his new family.

Today, Milo is doing really well. He lives a happy life with his new family and has seen snow for the very first time in his life.
Good luck in the US, Milo! We’re sure you’ll have a great time there.

Thank you for saving Milo, Michael! Your work is important and appreciated by all the dog owners out there! Please share this story if you hope Michael keeps going and keeps going!
