Valetio’s Harrowing Plight: Left to Die on a Maracaibo Corner, Swarmed by Gigantic Ticks.NP

Meet Valetio! He was found lying in distress on the streets of Maracaibo, abandoned and left to die. Covered in enormous, relentless ticks, he suffered from their merciless attacks.

Fortunately, Valetio was rescued by the MANADA GLOBAL PETS TRAVEL organization, who promptly took him to their veterinary clinic for urgent medical treatment.

However, Valetio’s prognosis is troubling. He is in serious condition, with very pale mucous membranes, and the sheer number of ticks covering him is alarmingly high.

Veterinarians report that Valetio will need to stay in the clinic for an extended period until his condition stabilizes and he can start recovering. When overwhelmed, he quickly becomes faint, disoriented, and exhausted.

“Seeing Valetio on the path to recovery brings us great joy, but we still feel deep anguish, anger, and helplessness when we think about how he was abandoned and left to die alone in that corner,” says Alicia Jiménez, a caretaker at MANADA GLOBAL PETS TRAVEL.

Fortunately, a week after his rescue, Valetio began to recover from his ordeal. “He sat alone near my husband @juls_alema, seeking his affection. Gradually, he relaxed and lay down beside him,” Alicia recalls.
