Week Four: Still Fighting
Week four.
The hardest one yet.
Grace remains in the ICU, surrounded by machines that breathe, monitor, and fight alongside her. Infections refuse to loosen their grip, and each day brings new tests, new concerns. Doctors speak carefully now — their words measured, their expressions heavy. The results suggest things may be getting worse.
Through it all, one thing has not changed.
Her mother has not left her side.

She sits close, holding Grace’s tiny hand, whispering prayers only a mother can speak — words filled with love, fear, and unwavering belief. In the quiet hum of machines and the long ICU nights, she wills her daughter to stay, to keep fighting, to hold on just a little longer.
Hope feels fragile now. Thin. Easily shaken.
Yet it still exists.
Because Grace is still here. Still breathing. Still fighting in her own quiet, powerful way. Every heartbeat is a victory. Every moment is proof of her strength.
Week four may be the hardest, but Grace has not given up. And as long as she is here, love remains stronger than fear — and hope, no matter how fragile, still lives.
